L-arginine is an amino acid, a natural substance in the body that is one of the bulding blocks of proteins. Nitric oxide has been the focus of intense research in the past few years. In fact, researchers Robert F. Furchgott, Louis J. Suggested Use:  For adults, take two (2) capsules twice daily or as otherwise directed by a healthcare practitioner.

Warnings:  Perfusia-SR used concomitantly with Simvastatin promotes beneficial endothelium-dependent vasodilation in patients with elevated asymmetrical dimethylarginine (ADMA).

Individuals with know herpes infection should not take arginine without also taking lysine, as arginine alone has been noted to cause herpes eruptions in susceptible individuals.

Conflicting studies regarding bronchoconstriction and bronchodilation suggest that arginine should not be used to treat asthmatics until more conclusive findings are available.

Since polyamines act as growth factors for cancers, and arginine may stimulate polyamine synthesis, chronic administration of arginine in cancer patients should be avoided. L-arginine is contradindicated in hepatocellular carcinoma.

This product is contraindicated in a patient with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
