Patient QuestionsFeel free to use the Ask the Pharmacist Form if your question is not answered below.
(Q) Why aren't I receiving Bellevue Pharmacy emails or the eNews Bulletin I signed up for?
Some SPAM blockers may read BPS emails as junk mail and add them to a junk mail folder. You may need to add us to your "allow" list/folder in your SPAM blocker program to receive future emails.
(Q) How do I find out which hormones are right for me?
Depending on your symptoms and lab results you may benefit with supplementation with estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA. Other hormones that are sometimes beneficial include pregnenolone and melatonin. The best way to get started is to complete the online Patient History Form and forward it to us. We will review the form and contact you to set up a consultation time. Consults generally take 15-30 minutes. The consult fee is $25 for the first 15 minutes and then $2 per minute thereafter. We refund the entire fee back to you when you fill your prescriptions with us at Bellevue Pharmacy Solutions.
(Q) Does a perimenopausal woman take the same dose as a postmenopausal woman?
Not usually, most commonly you start in early menopause with a low dose, and gradually increase to an average high dose in menopause. With time you taper back down the dose to maintain good bone health.
(Q) What hormones are most frequently used for hysterectomy and oopherectomy patients?
Estradiol, testosterone, pregnenolone, estriol, DHEA, and sometimes progesterone.
(Q) Will natural hormones help osteoporosis?
Yes, when dosed properly the natural hormones will help to resolve osteoporosis as well as synthetic hormones if not better.
(Q) How can I increase my libido?
Saliva testing for testosterone, DHEA, progesterone, and estradiol should be done. If levels of these hormones including testosterone are low, natural HRT should be used to raise the levels. This can be done in a sublingual tablet, thickgel or topical dose form.
(Q) How do I get started?
