Our Doctor of Pharmacy Is Available for Consultation ServicesDISEASE STATE EDUCATION AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAMOur program offers chronic disease management counseling for patients with asthma, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease through the Center for Wellness Solutions. The purpose of this program is to provide education and pharmaceutical care focused on disease prevention, wellness and improving health outcomes.
Outline of Program- Identify treatment goals for both physician and patient
- Assess patient needs
- Design a care program customized to meet patient's educational & behavioral modification needs (including meeting with dietician if appropriate)
- Educate patient on self-management
- Evaluate patient's progress & impact on quality-of-life
- Report progress to the physician
Cost of Program- Fees vary based on the extent of services & time
- Typically cost of program is $350 for 1 - 1 hour session and 4 - 30 minute sessions - Many insurance plans are accepted and will be billed directly when possible (including MO - United HealthCare, MO - BCBS, and Missouri Medicare)
- Missouri Medicaid reimbursed directly, with no cost to the patient
How to enroll: Contact The Center For Wellness Solutions at Bellevue Pharmacy Solutions and schedule appointment (in-person for local patients or telephone consultation) with Dr. Paul Hueseman, R.Ph., Pharm.D.
Full Medication Review- We will review all of the medications you take (including those from other pharmacies and OTC's) to identify any poly-pharmacy issues and work with you and your doctor to simplify your medication regimen. We will also teach you how to manage your medications and help you understand your different medications. This includes a 30 minute phone or in-house consultation with the pharmacist.

Patient Empowerment Program- This is particularly helpful for patients who have recently been diagnosed with a new condition and are unsure about new treatment options. We will do a full pharmaceutical-care work-up on you to understand your condition, your symptoms, and your current state of health. We can also perform literture searches for you on certain treatments that you may be interested in, and help you learn about the most recent clinical news about your condition. We will empower you by helping you to understand your condition so that you can ask important questions of your doctor and make educated decisions about your treatment with your doctor. This includes a 45 minute phone or in-house consultation with the pharmacist.

Non-Prescription "Over-the-Counter" (OTC) Medication Counseling- Your pharmacist is the only health professional specifically trained in OTC medications. We can provide you with special counseling before you buy OTC's to help you determine: (1) if you need to see a doctor, (2) if you actually need the product, (3) which OTC product would be safe and effective for you, (4) to help you understand the important safety warnings associated with using the product, (5) how to use the product safely and understand the dosing, (6) why certain advertised products might not be appropriate for you.
